Erik Sullivan, 2024

Erik has been a champion on every volleyball level,and is considered as the top associate coach in the women’s collegiate game, helping Texas to three NCAA titles and numerous Final Fours since starting there in 2011. As a prep player, he led San Dieguito to the CIF title and was CIF Player of the Year as a 6-3 outside hitter. He was a two- time All-American and primary passer at UCLA, and won NCAA titles in 1993 and 1995 (captain of team). He set school records for digs. He was co-captain and the first USA international Olympics Games starter at Libero in 2000 in Sydney, and started again at Libero in 2004 in Athens as two-time USA Olympic standout. He played for the USA in NORCECA, World League and World Championships before retiring to go into college coach-ing. He played professionally overseas for 8 seasons, and then also assisted the USA program traveling as team leader/advisor for the men and assistant coach for USA women’s junior team (and recently helping with the USA National Men’s Team in the 2023 World League). He was also was assistant at Nebraska and Colorado before Texas. He was selected for the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023.
