Linda Chisholm, 2024
Linda went to Birmingham HS in Encino, then College of the Canyons, and the 6-2 middle blocker became a multi-time Pepperdine All-American, leading the Waves to three AIAW Tour-nament top ten finishes. She went onto play interna-tionally and was part of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics Indoor silver medal winning team. Indoors she also won bronze at 1982 World Championships, a silver at the 1983 Pan-American Games, competed at the 1979 World University Games, and was a seven-time USVBA All-American. She also coached indoors at Pepperdine and Immaculate Heart HS. She won 28 pro beach volley- ball tournaments, including six ‘Grand Slams’ in her 10-year professional career. She retired from beach in the top 12 in lifetime wins and money won. In 1996 she was selected for the Pepperdine Athletics Hall of Fame, and in 2008 she was inducted into the California Beach HOF.
